Australia loves coffee. Coffee comes to us from all over the world in beautiful, natural hessian sacks made from the jute plant. Most hessian ends its journey in landfill creating emissions.
Inspired by working with some of Australia's largest coffee roasters Worn Up looked for a better way to re-use the bi-products of coffee roasting.
Circular Coffee is a Worn Up initiative to give this fantastic natural fibre of hessian, aluminium rewind coffee bags and chaff a second and third life.
What we believe
Through our products, we want to create a waste free world that cares for our planet, people and potential. We work as if everyday and every little thing counts and that's how we can contribute.
From small things big things grow.

Taking carbon back to the soil.
Our first product - launched a movement to be circular by using the bi-products of coffee roasting which would have gone to landfill.
Worn Up and Toby's Estate kicked off a pioneering partnership in 2021 to upcycle hessian coffee sacks which were going to landfill.
The fine hessian fibre adds carbon, helps retain water and breaks up compacted soil allowing enzymes and microbes to get in and do their work.
We've now extended our 'soil cocktail range' range beyond just coffee sacks and mix-up nutritious organic solutions such as milled banana peel for potassium, alfalfa and crushed seashell powder which, depending on your soil needs add nutrients organically.
We've also into other natural fibre solutions such as organic denim and 100% cotton and linen.
As a flagship product FIBRE + FOOD is our first soil nutrient giving back carbon to the soil.
We'd love other roasters to join the fight for finding meaningful circular solutions for hessian, rewind, coffee organics and plastics.
Be the change
The bi-products of coffee roasting and packaging can be upcycled. Worn Up has launched it's second major material re-use design using it's patented process and technology.also
